Experienced Help Desk Technician

Our Firm is currently looking for an Experienced Help Desk Technician to join our Technology Consulting Team. If you have great interpersonal skills, positive 'can do' attitude and belief in exceptional service join our team delivering the highest level of service to our clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide core infrastructure troubleshooting and support; Including:
    • Firewall policy design and management
    • Network connectivity diagnostics
    • Network performance analysis
    • Wan / Man design and implementation
    • Basic router configuration and installation
  • Provide Network design and implementation; including:
    • Evaluation of existing business networks to determine upgrade requirements
    • Identifying hardware and software requirements to meet business needs
    • Install and configure new server platforms
    • Integrate new solutions into existing business processes
  • Provide server level help desk support as needed; including:
    • Domain user account management
    • File, folder and share management
    • Network printer management
    • Error code troubleshooting
    • Updates and patching
  • Provide desktop level help desk support to our clients; including:
    • Logon issues
    • Application issues
    • Data access issues
    • Printing issues
    • Virus/malware scanning and cleaning
    • Updates and patching
  • Perform routine maintenance on desktop computers, servers and network components
  • Provide clear and accurate documentation on work performed
  • Promote consistent and clear communications with the client on each help desk activity
  • Assist senior engineers with projects and responsibilities
  • Assist with sales activities

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-6 years of progressively responsible experience supporting a business environment running a Microsoft Windows network plus

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, desktop and server
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Understanding of basic network topologies and components
  • Understanding of general diagnostic processes
  • A+ certification
  • Network+ certification
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
