Our Firm is currently looking for an Executive Tax Assistant to join our team. If you possess great organizational skills, have the ability to work independently and set priorities, this is the position for you! This position provides support to the tax department and office. He/she transcribes, proofreads and edits complex reports and composes departmental correspondence and documents as well as coordinates and completes projects requiring excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and other industry specific software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generates and distributes scheduled reporting.
  • Enters weekly and monthly reporting metrics and compile metric reports.
  • Generates ad hoc reports at management discretion.
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Acts as project manager for special projects.
  • Prints and assembles a series of different documents for internal and client use and routes these accordingly.
  • Maintains company documents, templates and forms continuously.
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and office activities.
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information.
  • Acts as a liaison with other company offices, vendors and clients.
  • Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
  • Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
  • Maintains client and internal administrative paperwork.
  • Supports preparation of tax returns for clients
  • Assist tax partners, managers and associates as needed.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in business administration and a minimum of 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience as an Administrative or Fiscal Assistant in a professional office environment. Expert knowledge of MS Office products especially MS Excel is highly preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following skills/attributes:

  • Self-driven, demonstrates initiative and able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to positively and proactively manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and thrive in fast-pace, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Positive self-starter attitude and strong desire to continually support internal and external resources.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, oral, written, and listening skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the following software: MS Office products; expert MS Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, mail merge etc.) preferred.
  • Technological proficiency operating office equipment including computer, scanners, fax machines etc.
